As March quickly approaches, our District UWF is becoming busy with meaningful spring events.
The Prayer Breakfast at Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Winchester is always a wonderful way to celebrate, enjoy a meal together, and simply be in conversation with our sisters.
The Conference Spiritual Life Retreat will be held April 17–18. This year, we will gather at the Holiday Inn in Ruckersville—another special time to celebrate, learn, and share with one another. It is always a meaningful event, filled with engaging activities and lasting memories that we carry home with us.
The Evening Together, hosted at Asbury United Methodist Church, will begin at 7:00 p.m. on May 21. This gathering offers a beautiful opportunity for fellowship and connection with friends.
As we move toward summer, we will also have the privilege of attending the Annual United Methodist Conference at the Atlantic Union Bank Center on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, June 17–20.
There are so many opportunities in the coming months to come together, share how we are serving in our communities, and listen to the inspiring acts of servanthood of others. We are created by God to do good works.
I encourage each of you to bloom where you are planted. Let the beautiful light of Christ shine through you for others. You can make a difference! Your mission field may be just across the street or down the road from your home. You have so much to offer as servants called to share your gifts and talents.
It takes courage to reach out, but we move forward together. That is the beautiful part of who we are—United Women serving God faithfully and united in purpose.
