Preparations for Summer Camp are in full swing, and registration is now open! We still have space available in most sessions, though a few are beginning to fill quickly. This year, we are encouraging every church to send “one more camper.” Even if your church does not currently have children or youth, we are confident there is someone in your community who would benefit from a week at camp.

We are also currently seeking additional staff, including Counselors, Lifeguards, and Counselors-in-Training (high school students). More information about these opportunities is available on our website, or you may contact the Camp Office directly.

There are several meaningful ways churches can support our Summer Camp program. One way is by contributing to the Partners in Mission (PIM) Fund. This fund provides an end-of-summer bonus to our staff, who faithfully serve in this ministry, often earning less than they would in traditional summer employment. Donations may be designated for specific staff members or given to the general PIM Fund.

Another way to support our staff is by providing meals. Church groups are invited to:

  • Provide dinner during Staff Training (June 1–12)
  • Provide lunch on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. during camp sessions (June 21–July 12)

Our summer staff typically includes around 20 individuals, and your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Additionally, we are in need of a few more nurses or medical personnel to serve during camp sessions. If you feel called to help in this way, we would love to hear from you.

We are also excited to be participating in the Great Community Give on April 22. This initiative, organized by The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, supports local nonprofits across our region. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to fund updates to our Shower House.

The Shower House, located near the Picnic Shelter and Campground area, serves as a central welcome point for many of our guests entering through the North Gate. These improvements will include updates to plumbing, walls, and flooring, as well as the addition of heat so the facility can be used year-round.
