| Family | My wife Sarah and I have been married 31 years. If you don’t count the dog and cat we are officaly empty nesters. Our son Tommy graduated with his MDiv this year and is a pastor within the VAUMC. Our daughter Emma is working towards her accounting degree at Penn State. She and her husband Christian live in Virginia Beach where Christian attends law school at Regent University. |

| What are you most excited about for the coming year at your new appointment? | Learning how folks at Mount Hermon do church and share God’s love excites me, as does continuing to walk with Page UMC as they continue to grow and shine God’s light into their local community. |

| What are you most passionate about in ministry? | Following the lead of the Holy Spirit to help folks make connections between God/and their faith with everyday life, and then hearing their experiences in those a-ha moments. |

| What was your very first job? | My first job turned into a 30 plus year career. I was a farmer. The first real work I recall was raking hay for my dad when I was 9 years old. I’m sure glad he never asked how the rake’s wooden tongue got that big crack in it. FYI, don’t lock the brakes on a tractor and slide backwards downhill until you jacknife and come to a complete stop! |

| Fun fact about you: | I use puppets, complete with funny/familiar voices, as part of my ministry. The puppet stage is known as Third Community Church, the pastor is O. Rusty Preacherman, and the congregation is made up of moose, bears, and oddly familiar characters from 1960’s TV shows. |
