The Children’s Clothes Closet opened to clients for the fall/winter season on Oct. 8. We had a crowd! In only our first week of client visits, we saw 137 families, served 366 children, provided 225 winter coats, and gave out 7,269 diapers.  Whew! With 3 more October client sessions still ahead as of this writing, we expect impressive totals for the month of October.
In November and December, our client weeks fall over both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, so we will be closed then. To help accommodate the clients, we are adding an additional client day on Nov. 19 and Dec. 17.
Our current needs include (as usual!) boys’ pants – all sizes, but especially boy sizes 6 and 7 as well as teen sizes (men’s small, medium, large and extra-large). We have very few pants for teen boys and the racks empty quickly. We are also always thrilled to get jeans for teen girls in XS – sizes 00-3. They are very popular. Thank you also for any donations of winter coats, especially sizes 6 and 7 for both boys and girls. We badly need winter gloves for all sizes, toddler and up.
We extend our deepest thanks again to the Keezletown Men for their hard work on our new ramp. It has been a huge and challenging project, and they have done an amazing job. We are almost there!
Blessings to you all as we soon begin the wonderful holiday season.
